Privacy Policy

How Tie the Knot collects, uses and protects personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Last updated October 2026

What we collect

  • Supplier accounts: name, email address and password (handled by our authentication provider; we never see your password).
  • Listing applications: business name, ABN, contact name, email, phone, business address, service location, categories, profile text, images and optional private pricing.
  • Visitors: standard technical information such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working.

What is public

Only the profile content you submit for publication — business name, suburb, categories, description, services, styles, images and the links and enquiry details you choose to share — is shown publicly, and only after an administrator approves it. Your ABN, application contact details, street address and private pricing are never shown on your public profile.

Private pricing

Private pricing is visible only to you and authorised administrators. It is used for other purposes only with your separate, optional consent, which you can change at any time from your listing.

How we store and protect information

Information is stored with Google Cloud (Firebase) and protected by access controls that limit each supplier to their own records and restrict private information to authorised administrators.

Access, correction and deletion

You can view and update your information from your account at any time. To request deletion of your account or listing, email hello@tietheknot.au.
